Lonely Planet’s Excellent Philippine’s Travel Guides

chocolate HillsThe famous Lonely Planet travel guide company began with Tony and Maureen Wheeler’s overland odyssey from London to Australia, an adventure that prompted them to publish their first guidebook, Across Asia on The Cheap. Today they publish travel guides, ebooks, phrasebooks, a range of gift, food and children’s titles, and a magazine.

No wonder Lonely Planet is a popular resource for researching the best Philippines hotels, tours and unique adventures.

On a budget? Check out Islands of the Philippines on a Shoestring…an eight day tour. Want to focus on just one section, for an in-depth look at a particular region? Northern Philippines Adventure, which lasts nine days, might appeal.

Planning a trip and want some fresh ideas? Their activities include a Bohol Countryside Full-Day Tour (including buffet lunch on a floating restaurant), a Pagsanjan Falls Adventure from Manila  and Sunset or Night Dinner Cruises on Manila Bay.
