Map of NorwayThe Philippine Embassy in Oslo is considering promoting Filipino cuisine in Norway with the help of two well-known chefs in Norway with Filipino ancestry, according to the Manila Bulletin.

Recently the Philippine Embassy Charge d’ Affaires met with chefs Christian Andre Pettersen and Roger Asakil Joya to explore showcasing Filipino food in the mainstream Norwegian food market. Pettersen, whose mother hails from Cebu, is Norway’s candidate to the Bocuse d’Or cooking competition, the most prestigious gastronomic competition in the world. Pettersen is currently the head chef at Restaurant Mondo in Sandnes, Norway.
